Ella: I need something to EAT!
Me: How about an apple?
Ella: NO! I NEED a SAMMICH!
Me: You're not having a sandwich before supper. How about an apple?
Ella: NO! I NEED a TREAT!
Me: How about an apple?
Ella: It's so YUCK!
Me: No, it's not yucky. Apples are good. We love apples.
(I hand her a slice of apple)
(90 seconds later)
Ella: I need more APPLE!
Yeah, I didn't give in, she did. Score 1 for Mommy.
