Emerson at 16 Months

Before I get plunged into the world of "mother to 4 kids under 6", I thought Mr. Emer deserved a little praise for what an awesome dude he is! So here are some fun facts about Emerson at 16 months old.

- He says "Mama", "Dada", "Aw-wa" (Ella), ""ah-da" (all done)
- He plays peek-a-boo with his own cute little hands over his face
- He signs "all done" with his hands while he says it, when his food is all gone, or when he has successfully unloaded the dishwasher ;) He loves to help unload the dishwasher.

- He waves bye-bye when Daddy leaves for work
- He screams at the top of his lungs with delight when Daddy comes home from work
- When you strip off his clothes, he runs to the bathtub and waits impatiently for the water to start running. He LOVES his baths! He likes to lie on his belly and kick his feet out behind him. He also likes to eat bubbles.
- He shakes his head "no"....just not necessarily when he means "no". He thinks it is funny.
- He climbs everything in sight. He has fallen off the dining room chairs more times than I can count.

- If you open the fridge, he helps himself to an apple. He eats the entire thing, whole. Sometimes he eats 4 apples a day.
- He eats entire pears too. I'm sure he has ingested pear cores and stems because it only takes him 3 minutes to eat the entire fruit, and by the time I look over, the whole thing is gone.
- He will actually eat...anything. Shepherd's Pie, Shanghai Noodles, pizza, stirfry, spaghetti and meatballs....and popcorn. This kid eats popcorn like there's no tomorrow.

- He loves pots and pans. He takes them all out of the cupboard and arranges them on our front hallway bench. He then requests a wooden spoon and stirs them all up. Once I caught him stirring the toilet water with a wooden spoon.
- He is obsessed with pens, pencils, and markers. Thankfully he has only drawn on the wall once. So far. He constantly raids the desk drawer and strategically leaves pens all over the house.
- He and Eli have started their "brotherly" fighting. Emerson no longer puts up with being bullied. He tries to pull Eli's hearing aides out to annoy him. And then laughs at him.

- He smiles like a huge goober all day long.

- He drives toy cars around and makes car noises "zzzzz"
- If you are lying on the floor, he takes it as an invitation to jump on you and laugh. Who wouldn't??

We just love this little monster. He is a big handful, but lots of fun!

16 months old in just a few days, and enjoying every last minute as the baby of the family.
